Many Involved In Public Education – Especially The So-Called Leaders – Have Their Heads Up Their Asses!

by John R. Alston Trotter, EdD, JD

Is this what the collective thinking of politicians, policy-makers, educrats, and superintendents looks like when they think that they can improve public education without supporting classroom educators when it comes to student discipline and when they actually think that a constant barrage of weighing the pig (standardized tests out the kazoo) will fatten him up? These people indeed have their heads up their asses, if you guys will permit me to be just as crude and blunt as Jesus and St. Paul were on several occasions.

We have said at MACE from the very beginning: You can’t have good learning conditions until you first have good teaching conditions, and to have real learning taking place, we need to forsake the false gods of public education which are the mind-numbing standardized tests.  Standardized tests have done huge damage to American students, reducing the curricula to the tests themselves, and the tests are so narrow and restrictive that any creative and divergent thinking is strictly prohibited.  So many students simply tune out this boring (yes, very boring curriculum) and become totally disengaged.  Many (upwards to close to 40%) simply drop out of school, and many of those remaining, simply use the school environment as a place where they can cause disruption and confusion.

I first of all will make a few nominations for the Educational Head-Up-Ass Award.  I nominate the U. S. Secretary Arne Duncan.  He’s never been an educator, and he really has his head way up his own ass.  I nominate Michelle Rhee, that very phony so-called educational reformer, who sometimes appears to believe her own bull-shit.  I nominate Beverly Hall who slopped around in so much educational bull-shit in the Atlanta Public Schools and got herself named by some two-bit outfit as “The Superintendent of the Year” all the while she presided over the biggest cheating scandal in United States history.  Any more nominees?  Have fun at it.

You forgot Romain Dallemand in Bibb County. I think his head is stuck in there, and his brains have been totally disolved by his digestive juices. The latest debacle concerns hiring a campus police chief…the ongoing crap continues.

Dear IamWolfen: I presume that you want to place Romain Dallemand’s name in nomination for an Head-in-the-Ass Award! Ha! Considered him nominated!

  2. One of Mitt Romney’s first acts as President of the USA (This office has been vacant since January 20, 2009) should be to totally abolish the office of the USDOEducation and send “headupmyownass” Arne Duncan to the head of unemployment line where he belongs. Our Public School Systems are in shambles and will be getting much worse in the coming months because of BHO’s latest “Executive Order”, dealing with discipline of minorities. Control of our schools should be returned to the individual states where control belongs. Folks, we’ve got a lot of work to do to return our Great Nation to one the world used to respect. Please vote responsibly on November 6, 2012.
